Cory’s family had just moved to Hound Town. As he walked around his new neighborhood, he yearned to make a new friend. That’s when he heard rustling in some nearby bushes. Then a small, scruffy dog appeared. “Hey, there. What’s your name? Are you lost?” asked Cory. When the little dog followed Cory home, it marked the beginning of a truly amazing friendship.
Jamey’s father walked into the kitchen, holding a surprise. It was an adorable black lab puppy. “A puppy? For me?” Jamey shouted. “Not just any puppy. With your help, he’ll grow up to use his sight and other senses to help a person who can’t see,” said her dad. Little did Jamey know that an incredible bond would soon grow between her and Indy, the tiny puppy destined to become a guide dog.
Noah turned his head as rain rolled down the window near his hospital bed. Then he suddenly felt something wet on the palm of his hand. It was a French bulldog burrowing under his hand. “That’s Link’s way of asking you to pet him!” said the dog’s handler. Noah stroked Link’s short fur and told the dog about how he broke his leg during a flood. As if sensing his sadness, Link licked Noah’s chin. For the first time in days, a broad smile appeared on Noah’s face.
“Get her!” the police officer shouted. Sherlock the police dog took off at full speed in the parking lot of the Hound Town Mall. The thief was about to get into her car when she saw the dog running toward her. She pushed a shopping cart directly at the German shepherd. Whoosh! Sherlock leaped right over it. Would he be able to capture the thief before she escaped?
