Children were introduced to Little Bear and Mother Bear in the picture book When Wishes Come True, published by Lobster Press in the fall of 2009. The polar bears were so well received, that Lobster Press and illustrator Per-Henrik Gürth have brought the characters back for another story. Together Forever takes place on a snowy night in the Arctic, with Little Bear playfully tumbling in the snow. Mother Bear warns him not to wander too far away, or he might get lost, and Little Bear worries about the possibility of not being able to find his mother. Mother Bear gives him some excellent advice, which children hearing the story will hopefully remember: if he gets separated from her, he should sit down and look up at the stars, find the Great Bear and Little Bear stars, and wait for her to find him. The advice comes in handy when a blizzard blows through, and Little Bear gets distracted. He realizes that he has lost Mother Bear, but instead of getting upset, he does just what she said to do: he stays put and looks at the stars. While trying to find the Great Bear and Little Bear stars, he sees a constellation in the sky that looks just like Little Bear and Mother Bear! Soon, his mother finds him, and he tells her how he saw the two of them in the sky, together forever.
