Both Mum and Dad work in offices, but it’s hard for a very little boy to understand what they DO all day, and why they’re SO tired when they get home and can only play for a little while. With the help of his grandmother, who takes care of him, our young narrator tries to experience their workaday world, day after day, at home in a pretend office . . . and he gets really, really tired, too. . . . Papa et maman travaillent dans des bureaux, mais c’est difficile pour un tout petit garçon de comprendre ce qu’ils font toute la journée, et pourquoi, si fatigués lorsqu’ils reviennent à la maison, ils ne peuvent jouer qu’un tout petit moment. Avec l’aide de sa grand-mère qui prend soin de lui, notre jeune narrateur essaie d’imaginer leur routine quotidienne, jour après jour, à la maison il joue à l’employé de bureau. . . et il devient lui aussi très très fatigué.
