The “Abby and Tess Pet-Sitters” series features third-grader Abby, an aspiring veterinarian who goes into the pet-sitting business with her sister, Tess. In Piglets Don’t Watch Television, the girls get a call from Ms. Fitzpatrick, who asks if they can pet-sit “Prissy.” While on the phone, Abby thinks she hears barking in the background, and wonders if her dream of looking after a puppy has finally come true! Alas, it turns out that Prissy is not a dog, but a pot-bellied pig – and she is definitely not an ordinary pet.
