The “Abby and Tess Pet-Sitters” series features young Abby, an aspiring veterinarian who goes into the pet-sitting business with her sister, Tess. In Parrots Don’t Make House Calls, Abby and Tess are invited to participate in an Animal-Assisted therapy program, but their teammate, a talkative African gray parrot named Chiku, is ruffling Tess’s feathers.
